Apple tried to disable the on jailbroken devices

Saturday, August 28, 2010

Apple has filed patents covering a variety of methods to identify and disable unauthorized use. Including jailbroken and various other methods to hack on iPhone and iPad. Although the U.S. government officially gave permission to the jailbreaking process (ie the code that gives access to users for the use of extensions and themes that are not official Apple product) on the iPhone and other electronic devices for the purpose of "education". But Apple seems determined to gain further control over the device. Currently, the Cupertino, California company based companies technology automatically revoke the warranty on all iPhones that have been in jailbreaking and hacking.Patents filed in February and focused on the efforts to identify the user's device if the device is stolen and protect all the important information in the device that was stolen (such as credit card numbers and passwords). Then after the Apple knows that it is stolen then the user can perform remote Appla directly from the server and delete all the data directly from the server. But the patent also covers methods to identify the device that has been in jaibreaking, such as the monitoring of an abrupt increase in the memory of the commonly used memory. Apple also wants to patent the party at the time of authentication hacking programs Apple is running the party can unilaterally remove the personal data directly from the device and disconnect the phone service.

In other words, Apple explains that it wants to fight jailbroken with the pretext to protect customers from theft because of the fact that Apple can not determine whether perngakat has been stolen or when the user performs the process of Jailbreaking by users.

"IMac Touch" a good blend between the iPad and iMac

Have you ever imagined that in the future maybe you'll use the iMac has become a device that has become one or the built-in with the iPad? Yes, it looks like Apple will answer these questions. In September 2009 month ago Apple has filed several patents in Europe which was subsequently published in January 2010,in one such document discusses the system to an iMac Touch, the device that acts like a standard desktop computer but has a shape such as tablet computers. Later on when the device is in an upright position, then the iMac touch can be used as a desktop or a flatscreen monitor and can be controlled with the mouse and keyboard. Then when the iMac Touch is positioned in the recumbent position, it can be used as a computer that has multi-touch tablet mode and the switch from Mac OS X operating system to IOS. In addition to the operating system, these patent documents also discuss about the details of the system that will allow users to control iPhone or iMac iPad of touch. This idea emerged when many users use the MacBook Pro and iPad separately, it would be better if the two devices into one super device, and Apple iMac Touch promises that this will be the best devices from around the world. If it really is an iMac Touch will be released by Apple whether you would be interested to buy it?

Understanding Consumer Reports’ iPhone 4 advisory

Consumer Reports’ revised iPhone 4 advisory is bound to make all of the nightly newscasts as Apple staffers are scrambling to delete user comments referencing the report. How could a well-respected product evaluation agency advise against buying Apple’s baby and at the same time rate iPhone 4 as the best smartphone on the planet? You could be forgiven for thinking that Consumer Reports hates Apple’s phone. Its revised advisory says you should hold off buying an iPhone 4 until Apple fixes the so-called death grip. It also slams the gadget maker over the claim that an upcoming firmware update will fix the issue as it contradicts their lab tests proving that the signal bars drop when you bridge the antenna gap found in the phone’s bottom left corner.

It’s a design flaw that cannot be fixed in software, Consumer Reports insists, and has nothing to do with AT&T’s network or anything on the network end. The post also makes a brief mention of the phone’s overall performance that places it “atop the latest ratings of smartphones.” The problem is, those ratings are available in exchange for $5.95 a month or $26 a year, meaning the vast majority of readers didn’t get the full picture.

I’ve waited patiently through 4.0.1 and 4.0.2, looking for a fix that will make my phone work again. I’ve read the forums that advise me to jailbreak my phone or use some other method so I can downgrade back to a version of iPhone 3, however I’m not prepared to use a method that is not supported by Apple.

Jobs response was straight and to the point.

Software update coming soon.

Of course, no timeline or further details were provided. That’s textbook Management 101. Under-promise and over-deliver.

Apple buys rights to Liquidmetal Technologies patents

Apple has bought a "perpetual, worldwide, fully-paid, [and] exclusive" license to the patents of a company called Liquidmetal Technologies, a new SEC filing reveals. The company is based in California, and specializes in metal alloys with unusual chemical properties. The materials are said to have an "amorphous" atomic structure, as opposed to a conventional crystalline organization.Liquidmetal claims a number of advantages to its alloys, including extra toughness, elasticity and a superior strength-to-weight ratio. Also mentioned are "unique acoustical properties," along with a high resistance to scratches and corrosion. The chemicals are claimed to be about 2.5 times stronger than common titanium alloys.

Apple's plans for the patents aren't stated, but it's believed that the company intends to use them to craft new iPhone, iPod and iPad designs with thinner and/or more compact shells. A common complaint of the iPad is that the tablet is too heavy. Apple may also want to employ the alloys in Mac construction, though the practicality of such a move is unknown.

Knowing Apple A4

Thursday, August 19, 2010

A4 Apple processor blend the Apple after the company acquired Palo Alto Semiconductor in 2008 and has now been born to give life to the Apple iPad.

Although only a 1GHz, Apple is no ordinary A4 processor. He has the ability of 3D graphics, audio, power management, storage, and input / output integrated therein.Palo Alto Semiconductor the ability to apply power efficiency at each processor design. This is the main reason Apple poured 278 billion U.S. dollar fund to acquire the company rather than just buying a license like Apple's previous habits. Apple seems to put a lot of expectations on performance ARM Cortex-based A4 A9 with 32-bit architecture for the next handheld products.

When compared with an embedded Intel processor on the MacBook, the processor manufacturer A4 assembled by Samsung with 45 nanometer manufacturing process is claimed to be able to survive 10 hours using 25 watts of battery power. While the MacBook lasted seven hours with the battery usage at 60 watts. Imagine the power efficiency that can be done by the A4.

Currently Apple has not revealed the specification A4. Many of those who have traced the origins of these processors will find instructions in the graphics and audio components in the A4 comes from the PowerVR SGX GPU and PowerVR VXD for for audio / video.

PowerVR SGX GPU itself is a powerful 3D capabilities. SGX Series535 previous versions have been used by Apple on the iPhone 3Gs and iPod touch 3G. While SeriesS5L8900 used Apple on the iPhone 3G, iPod nano 4 & 5G, and iPod touch 2G.

If combined with the screen resolution is relatively low compared iPad desktop / notebook, which is 1024x768 pixels, of course, the performance of these GPUs will be more remarkable considering the ability fps (frame rate per second) from the GPU is very dependent on the size of the resolution used. The smaller the resolution of the resulting fps any higher.

And this statement concluded that the iPad offers the sensation of handheld gaming with the extraordinary power consumption that are so efficient.

It is not possible the next generation iPhone will also adopt this A4 processor. By acquiring the company, of course other manufacturers to compete against Apple will not be able to enjoy the same processor when compared to Apple's ability just to buy licenses.

Could be at Google's Nexus One had been enjoying its glory shall be dilibas by armed A4 iPhone later today. Amid rumors of the iPhone 4 also has begun to discuss the current crowded
